- Terrorist on The Turnpike
- </hdr><body>
- <p> According to federal prosecutors, the terrorist Japanese Red
- Army has one less soldier on active duty these days. A federal
- judge in Newark last week sentenced Yu Kikumura, 36, to 30 years
- in prison for possession of three pipe bombs and a false
- passport. A Japanese national, Kikumura was arrested last April
- on the New Jersey Turnpike by a state trooper, who says he saw
- the bombs in the back seat of his car. Prosecutors believe he
- intended to plant them in the New York City area in retaliation
- for the U.S. air raid on Libya. U.S. District Judge Alfred J.
- Lechner Jr. said the bombs, packed with black powder and lead
- shotgun pellets, "were intended for flesh and blood, not bricks
- and mortar."
