  17. <p>    According to federal prosecutors, the terrorist Japanese Red
  18. Army has one less soldier on active duty these days. A federal
  19. judge in Newark last week sentenced Yu Kikumura, 36, to 30 years
  20. in prison for possession of three pipe bombs and a false
  21. passport. A Japanese national, Kikumura was arrested last April
  22. on the New Jersey Turnpike by a state trooper, who says he saw
  23. the bombs in the back seat of his car. Prosecutors believe he
  24. intended to plant them in the New York City area in retaliation
  25. for the U.S. air raid on Libya. U.S. District Judge Alfred J.
  26. Lechner Jr. said the bombs, packed with black powder and lead
  27. shotgun pellets, "were intended for flesh and blood, not bricks
  28. and mortar."
